Yarn Yoshi and Kitteh

I did a sketch of it this summer, and now I just finished it on Gimp and this is my first digital work done on my new computer.
I first wanted to make it lineless, but I got a little rusty with it on my graphic tablet while I'm OK on my 3DS. If there was a possibility to import a JPEG to Colors3D, I'd do it.

So I finally made a lineart then colored it.  As I'm not quite used to texturing and haven't played Yoshi's Woolly World (I don't even have a Wii U).

I made it to participate to
this contest, but as the deadline is today, I ran out of time to work on some details, so I don't know if it meets all the requirements...  It's up to to decide.

Now the drawing idea itself : We all know, kitties love to play with yarn balls and so, I got the idea to draw a cat who's about to steal a yarn ball from an unsuspecting Yarn Yoshi to play with it, teehee !
